Customers

Keep a list of the people and businesses you bill, with the contact details PaidFast uses to send invoices and collect payment.

Customers are the people and businesses you invoice. Keeping them in PaidFast means you can bill them in a couple of clicks and see their full history in one place.

#Adding a customer

Open Customers → Add customer and enter:

  • Name (required) — the person or company you're billing.
  • Email — needed to send invoices and receipts by email.
  • Phone number — needed to send over WhatsApp and to identify the customer when they sign in to the portal.
  • Tax number / registration — optional, shown on their documents where relevant.
  • Address and notes — optional details for your records.

You can also add a customer inline while creating an invoice.

Tip: Add both an email and a phone number where you can. It gives you the most delivery options and lets the customer use the portal.

#The customer view

Open a customer to see everything about them:

  • Their invoices, quotations, and receipts.
  • Their outstanding balance and payment history.
  • A quick action to raise a new invoice or statement.

#Statements

Generate an account statement for a customer to show all activity and their running balance over a period — useful for reconciliation or a customer who wants a summary.

#Editing and history

Update a customer's contact details any time; changes apply to future documents. Existing invoices keep the details they were issued with, so your records stay accurate.

#Plan limits

You can store up to 5 customers on Free and 50 on Starter. See Plans.
