How customers sign in

The way your customers access the portal securely — via a document link or a one-time code.

Customers don't need to create a password to use the portal. Access is designed to be quick and secure, using the contact details you already hold for them.

#Two ways in

The simplest path: the link in an invoice or quotation email/WhatsApp opens that document straight away. Most customers never do anything more than click the link and pay.

#2. Signing in to the portal

To see everything you've sent them — all invoices, receipts, and statements — a customer signs in to the portal. They identify themselves with the email or phone number you have on file, and verify with a one-time code sent to them. No password to remember.

This is why it helps to keep accurate customer contact details: the sign-in and the code are sent to those details.

#What they see after signing in

Once verified, the customer sees their account: outstanding invoices, paid history, receipts, and any statements — all under your branding.

#If a customer can't sign in

  • Check the contact details you have for them match what they're entering.
  • Confirm the code arrived — it goes to the email or phone on file; ask them to check spam or that the number is correct.
  • Resend the document if the link expired or was lost — the payment link stays tied to the invoice.

Because access is tied to the details you hold, updating a customer's email or phone in PaidFast also updates where their sign-in codes and documents are sent.
