Items & price list
Save the products and services you sell so you can add them to invoices and quotations without retyping.
Items are a reusable price list of the products and services you sell. Save them once and drop them into any invoice or quotation — no retyping descriptions or prices.
#Adding an item
Open Items → Add item and set:
- Name / description — what you're selling.
- Unit price — the default price per unit.
- Tax — the default tax treatment (for example VAT) based on your tax settings.
- Unit — optional (each, hour, kg, etc.).
#Using items on documents
When building an invoice or quotation, pick an item to fill in the description, price, and tax automatically. You can still override the price or quantity on any individual line — the saved item is just the starting point.
#Why use a price list
- Speed — bill common products in seconds.
- Consistency — the same wording and price every time.
- Fewer errors — no mistyped amounts or tax rates.
#Editing prices
Update an item's price any time. Changes apply to new documents; invoices and quotations you've already created keep the price they were saved with.
Tip: If you bill mostly bespoke work, you can skip items entirely and type lines directly on each invoice. Items pay off most when you sell the same things repeatedly.
